With nearly 800 in attendance, the 2011 HealthSource Super Camp in Chicago got off to an incredible start Friday as Dr. Chris Tomshack fired up the crowd with a clear message: HealthSource is on a mission to raise the bar for chiropractic.
The show kicked off with the largest group huddle in HS history, and was followed by a rousing State of the Franchise address in which Dr. Tomshack touched on some of the incredible tools all the HS team members in attendance would learn throughout the weekend.
"Patient care has evolved--this isn't 1970s chiropractic anymore," he said. "If we're going to continue leading the charge, we must ask ourselves what's best for our patients. The training and techniques you'll learn this weekend are going to have a truly awesome impact on our profession, and most importantly, our patients' lives.
Dr. Tomshack spoke about dealing with some of his own day-to-day struggles, and the importance of getting a grip not only on the way we live our lives, but also how we make the most of the hours we have. One principle, he suggested, is to study what really drives the decisions and actions we all make.
"Understand the 'why' behind what you're doing," he said. "Do more investigation so you can have a better life, and affect more people as a result."
With Dr. John Demartini coming up soon, and a slew of breakout sessions to follow, the 2011 HealthSource Super Camp is well under way.
